Footnote:
This epoxy was originally manufactured by Applied Plastics Co. (APCO), in El Segundo, CA, and marketed under the part number R-313. It was subsequently designated as 5313. The company was later acquired by Hexcel Corporation, and the epoxy was renamed Epolite 5313. The product line was later acquired by HB Fuller Co., and the epoxy was renamed once again: Epolite FH-5313. It remains widely used, due to its unique and desireable properties.
Please note: The original hardener supplied by Applied Plastics was diethylenetriamine (UN 2079) which is subject to HazMat shipping regulations. We now use Dow Plastics D.E.H. 29 hardener, which is not regulated for transport. If your application relies upon some characteristic of the original hardener, we can still supply that. Please contact our technical sales department for more information.
